Overview

Recap is a personal productivity tool for tracking your weekly work. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We collect only what is necessary to provide the service.

What we collect

• Account information — your name and email address, provided when you sign up or via Google OAuth.
• Work entries — the tasks, blockers, and notes you log daily inside Recap.
• Generated reports — weekly summaries compiled from your entries, including any PDFs you export or share.
• Billing information — if you subscribe to Recap Pro, payment is processed by Stripe. We store only your subscription status; full card details are held by Stripe.
• Usage data — error logs and performance traces collected automatically by Sentry to help us fix bugs.

How we use your data

• To operate and improve Recap.
• To send emails you explicitly request — password resets, verification links, and report emails you trigger yourself.
• To process your subscription and issue receipts via Stripe.
• To detect and fix errors through anonymous crash reports.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your work entries for advertising or share them with third parties beyond the sub-processors listed below.

Data retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your entries, reports, and account information are deleted within 30 days. Stripe retains billing records as required by law.

Public share links

When you enable sharing on a report, a public link is generated that allows anyone with the URL to view that report. You can disable sharing at any time from the report detail page, which immediately deactivates the link.

Cookies

Recap uses a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

Your rights

You can export or delete your data at any time. To delete your account, go to Settings. For any other data requests, contact us at the address below.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice inside Recap before the changes take effect.
